Have you ever wished you could do more for the causes you care most about?
During our lifetime, most of us don’t have unlimited financial resources to support the causes that matter to us.
For many people, though, including a gift in their will is both a meaningful and practical option.
August is a national “Make a Will Month,” during which nonprofits across the country, like CLCC, are raising awareness of the importance of creating a will.
There’s some exiting news, too.
In honor of Make a Will Month and to encourage people like you and me to remember conservation in our wills, a generous donor will donate $1,000 to CLCC when you let us know you have included CLCC in your will.
You’ll have the opportunity to leave a legacy for the land—at no cost during your lifetime.
If you’re like me, you probably know people who don’t think they need a will. But in fact, everyone should have one, whether they’re in their 20s or their 80s.
Without a will, you leave important decisions up to a local court and state laws, which makes things more difficult for your loved ones. A will is important regardless of wealth to provide protections for family, children, pets, and more.
A contribution by your will, of any amount, is greatly appreciated.
Creating a will doesn’t have to be expensive or time consuming, either.
You can work with a professional advisor or create a basic will online for free from a trusted company like FreeWill. If you already have a will, that’s great.
When you let us know about including CLCC in your will, you’ll be “doing good today, by doing good in the future.”
I appreciate your consideration!
With a break from the rain forecasted for this weekend, I hope you can spend some time outside enjoying the lands you love and help to protect.
