The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) is responsible for planning and implementing community engagement opportunities for the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition. The individual works in partnership with towns, neighborhoods, schools, and other community and youth-serving organizations to deliver activities that connect people with the Pomperaug River, its tributaries, and the surrounding watershed with the ultimate goal to protect and improve water quality and habitat.

An ideal candidate is a confident, enthusiastic person with direct experience in environmental conservation, public speaking, social media, and working with different demographics in the community. A passion for bringing people together, a commitment to following the science, and a love of the outdoors will help you find success in this position. A background in education, environmental science, and/or environmental  studies is encouraged. First consideration will be given to applicants that apply by October 1, 2023.
