Conservation Careers & Job Opportunities
Environmental Analyst 2 – CT DEEP
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has multiple openings for Environmental Analyst 2 to support the Land Acquisition and Management Office’s (LAM) property management, land acquisition, and grant administration functions.
This is a full-time, 35 hours per week position on first shift, Monday-Friday. This is a hybrid position.
At DEEP, we are dedicated to conserving, improving and protecting our natural resources and the environment. Particularly within LAM, we are focused on conserving land, providing resources to partners for land conservation, and balancing the use of DEEP property with the myriad of important resources that they protect and provide for the public.
These positions will provide critical support for acquiring new lands to be owned by DEEP, handling DEEP property management matters and administrating grants to others for enhancing and protecting open space across Connecticut. For lands and waters which DEEP currently owns and controls, support will include responding to requests for the use of, and resolving unauthorized encroachments at, State held open space lands.
These positions offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity to collaborate across the agency to make a difference in natural resource and public benefit outcomes. The work associated with these positions is different every day, creating new and exciting opportunities to collaborate and expand one’s knowledge. The work in LAM creates tangible connections to on the ground projects that allow one to see results in real time.
