Mohonk Preserve, New York’s largest nonprofit nature preserve is seeking a full-time Forester.

The Forester is responsible for working with staff in our Conservation Programs and Stewardship departments to:

• Set climate-adaptive forest management goals, design and implement forest management plans, coordinate implementation and evaluation of forest management activities.
• Implement techniques to measure and monitor deer, invasive species, recreational and other impacts in high priority, sensitive forested areas.
• Lead public programs and volunteer activities that engage the community in forest management and habitat conservation.

Knowledge of the natural world, love of the outdoors, Bachelor’s in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Climate Science, Ecology or related field and 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary: $58-$62k/year; full benefits
