“A sudden surprise conclusion in the fight to preserve Rocky Top is leaving dedicated lovers of the land thrilled and grateful to one local developer. In an uncommon act of generosity, Hamden resident Gary Richetelli, a commercial real estate professional, deeded the 18-acre wooded parcel on Rocky Top Road, east of Shepard Avenue, over to the Hamden Land Conservation Trust to remain open space in perpetuity.”
