In an article from the Hartford Courant, Peter Marteka calls Avalonia Land Conservancy’s TriTown Forest Preserve “a 532-acre wonderland of stone walls, huge boulders and more than 10 miles of trails passing under huge oaks, around picturesque ponds and vernal pools and an abandoned quarry. ”
Following the land trust’s recent acquisition of a 54-acre parcel added to TriTown, the preserve makes up a contiguous block of core forest spanning the towns of North Stonington, Griswold, and Preston.
