Jovan Bryan
Community Conservation Coordinator
Originally from Massachusetts, Jovan Bryan joined CLCC in August 2023 as their first Community Conservation Coordinator. The focus of his role is to initiate, build, and maintain new partnerships as well as develop and maintain CLCC’s Community Conservation Programs. These community-centered programs will be grounded in principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and justice.
He earned his B.S. at UMASS Lowell in Environmental Science with minors in Climate Change and Sustainability and Architecture. Post-graduation, Jovan was the first Land Conservation Fellow at the Mass Audubon Society from 2022-2023 where he learned about land stewardship, acquisition, outreach and communication. Coming to Connecticut, he hopes to better bridge the gap between land trusts and the communities they serve.
In his free time, Jovan enjoys hiking, bike riding, paddling on rivers, playing the saxophone, and exploring new landscapes big and small.
