Ricky Bentley

Climate Smart Stewardship Coordinator

Ricky joined CLCC in November of 2023 as the Climate Smart Stewardship Coordinator. This position was created to connect land trusts with the resources to determine, implement, and sustain locally appropriate climate smart practices. Ricky received a B.A. in Sociology from Portland State University and a M.A. in Sustainable Development Practice from the School for International Training Graduate Institute.

Born and raised on a farm in Northern Connecticut, Ricky grew up recreating, learning, and working in the wonderful outdoors of Connecticut. With a background in experiential outdoor education, he has led many students on expedition style programs on public preserved lands across the country. He is passionate about connecting people to the natural world around them and preserving land for future generations to enjoy. In his free time Ricky enjoys getting outside in as many ways as he can including gardening, hiking, biking, and rock climbing.
