This workshop focuses on the critical role of land trust boards in risk oversight, emphasizing their legal responsibility for the organization’s health and mission protection. Utilizing the Land Trust Standards & Practices, we’ll explore priority risk analysis and management areas, providing actionable insights for board members and executive leadership on navigating current challenges. Participants will gain an understanding of key issues in organizational risk management and sustainability, learn strategies for best practice continuity, and receive operational guidance, including template use. The session aims to equip attendees with knowledge and tools for addressing specific concerns and planning future organizational steps, ensuring the effective safeguarding of their mission.
