The Conversation with Wawa Continues…
Following her plenary session presentation and conversation, join Wawa Gatheru for an open, interactive Q&A session. This facilitated exchange creates space for participants to reflect, ask questions, and engage directly with Wawa around the themes of belonging, leadership, climate justice, and community-centered conservation. This is an opportunity to dig deeper into ideas raised during the plenary—how land trusts and conservation organizations can broaden participation, build authentic relationships with communities, support emerging leaders, and reframe environmental work as something everyone can see themselves in. Attendees are encouraged to bring forward their own experiences, challenges, and aspirations, helping to ground the conversation in the real-world contexts of Connecticut’s land conservation community.
