Understanding Old-Growth Forest Characteristics
Powerpoint presentation followed by group forest modeling exercise. Target: property managers/stewards, decision/policy makers, conservation advocates. Participants will learn the definition of old-growth, characteristics of old-growth forests, benefits associated with old-growth forests, and how to bring some of those benefits to second-growth forests.
