In 2016, The New Fairfield Land Trust and The Land Trust of Danbury officially merged into one land trust organization serving the Candlewood Valley area of Southwest Connecticut. The Candlewood Valley Regional Land Trust stewards over 38 joint properties under protection which represents approximately 430 acres.
Fast forward two years and CVRLT volunteers hosted a variety of hikes throughout 2018 designed to connect people (and their four-legged companions) with the land.
