As the summer drew to a close, the Heritage Land Preservation Trust threw one dam good party! Joined by Torrington residents, local, state and regional conservation organizations, public officials and others, the land trust celebrated the Coe Brass Pond Park, a 12 acre park it began clearing and restoring in 2010.

Located on the West Branch of the Naugatuck River, the pond, dam and wooden gatehouse are listed on the Connecticut Historic Registry. It is the land trust’s hope that the celebration will bring more people to the park to walk, fish, bird watch, and just relax.
