Support HB 5004 – Climate Action Bill

Status: HB 5004 recently passed the House and now moves on to a vote in the Senate.

Action: Urge your State Senator to SUPPORT HB 5004, which proposes a much-needed comprehensive approach to addressing the growing impacts of the changing climate. It includes action on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency, enhancing climate resilience, encouraging sustainable businesses and workforce development, and integrating nature-based solutions (including land conservation) across Connecticut.

Support SB 9 – Climate Resilience Bill

Status: SB 9 awaits a vote in the Senate.

Action: Urge your State Senator to:

1. SUPPORT SB 9, which integrates sustainable planning at the municipal, regional, and state levels to address environmental and climate-related challenges, including prioritizing nature-based solutions.
2. SUPPORT the neonic ban in SB 9. Neonics directly harm pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and other essential insects, and have far-reaching implications for biodiversity and environmental and human health.
3. OPPOSE any rollbacks to the current pesticide ban on schoolyards.
