2026 Land Trust Executive Director Retreat
February 26 | 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Part of CLCC’s Conserving Land by Staying Connected series, the Land Trust Executive Directors Retreat is a full-day gathering designed for the state’s land trust leaders. Building on past Executive Director Summits, this new format keeps our core objectives—peer learning, candid conversation, and practical takeaways—while adding more time for informal connection and a short, accessible outdoor activity.
What to expect
- Peer-to-peer exchange: Facilitated conversations and small-group breakouts on the issues that matter most to Executive Directors across diverse organizations.
- Shaping the agenda: During registration, participants can indicate priority topics and questions; we’ll weave these into the day’s sessions.
- CLCC listening & support: We’ll use what we hear to refine programs and resources that help Executive Directors lead strong, resilient land trusts.
- A “fun” element: A light, optional walk/easy hike to recharge and deepen connections (no special gear required).
- Plenty of unstructured time: Extended lunch and open discussion blocks for building relationships and comparing notes.
This event is open to Executive Directors (or equivalent senior staff leads) from Connecticut land trusts.
