East End Neighborhood Revitalization Zone

In 2018, the Trust for Public Land re-opened Johnson Oak Park as an open space for the more than 3,500 people who live a 10-minute walk away from the park, as well as for the students of the adjacent Jettie S. Tisdale School.

The reopening was years in the making, an effort spearheaded by the East End Neighborhood Revitalization Zone, who sought input from residents and students  starting in 2014 . The park features a basketball court, track, splash pad, and many natural elements.

Come enjoy this greenspace with community members and state legislators.
