Special Guest Presenter
Andrea Urbano supervises Connecticut’s Urban & Community Forestry Program and Service Forestry Program. As such, she develops and implements federal programs that provide technical assistance, education, and outreach to Connecticut’s private and municipal woodland owners.
She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire in environmental conservation and political science. Her Master of Science in forestry was earned from the University of Vermont, where she researched climate science, carbon forestry, and their relationship to land-use history and forest management. She has since published her research (Urbano and Keeton 2017) and devoted her professional and personal life to the sustainable use of natural resources.
