Connecticut is home to ~130 land trusts. Together these non-profits have conserved at least 205,000 acres of land that is essential to ensuring clean water and air, and mitigating the impacts of a changing climate.
And that’s not all…
Land trusts connect people of all ages to nature; partner with their communities to build parks and save working lands; create wildlife corridors and pollinator pathways; preserve scenic views and historic places; plant trees; and share skills and passions to help ensure that we are healthy – inside and out.
Land trusts give us opportunities to work hard, play hard, and create strong and more sustainable communities across the state – together.
On this #GivingTuesday, please consider making a special gift to your local land trust to say thank you for all they do for all of us.
#LoveYourCTLandTrust — today and everyday!
