On July 17, our Conservation Conversation will take place in Bloomfield at Hawk Hill Farm,

Protected in 2015 by the Wintonbury Land Trust in partnership with the town of Bloomfield, DEEP (via the OSWA program), and the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service, Hawk Hill Farm provides access to valuable farmland for a local cattle farmer; is part of a 250-acre agricultural and wildlife corridor; protects critical wetlands and flood plain habitat; and links trails from the town’s urban center to Pennwood State Park. And yes, hawks frequent the land’s grassland habitat. This land has it all.
