Two CLCC staff accept award from 2 CT RC&D representatives

Last week, on behalf of CLCC, Amy and I were honored to receive the 2023 Linda B. Krause Award for Excellence in Conservation Collaboration from our friends at Connecticut Resource Conservation and Development. This accolade celebrates the success and impact of the 2023 Summit on Housing and Conservation, where 100+ leaders from across the state explored how collaborative efforts can lead to healthier, more equitable housing, to more land conservation in our communities, and to increased funding for joint projects.

This recognition also reminds us that this work has only just begun.

Thanks to continued support from David Hindin, a presenter at the Summit, we’ve had many followup conversations with attendees, and have developed a roadmap for future relationship-building, collaboration, and joint projects. We look forward to integrating these topics into our regional programing, and fostering partnerships to build healthier, more equitable communities.

As one Summit attendee said, “Collaboration between oil and water topics, spiced up, can make a good dressing for green pastures!”

I couldn’t agree more!
