Jessica Cañizares

Jessica Cañizares, PhD, Coastal Restoration Project Manager, The Nature Conservancy – Jessica has extensive experience coordinating with governments, community members, and field-based NGOs to support biodiversity conservation and restoration projects in the U.S., Caribbean, South America, and Southeast Asia. She served as the Project Manager Biologist for five multi-million-dollar high profile transportation and public works projects in California including the Lower Silver Creek Flood Protection & Creek Restoration Project. Jessica has a B.S. in Biology from Northeastern University, an M.S. in Avian Science from University of California Davis, and a Ph.D. in Biology from Tufts University, where she was appointed Water Diplomacy Fellow, National Science Foundation.
