WHY: It is a critical time for nature!

Your State Legislators need to hear from you on legislation and budget items that will have lasting impacts on nature.

I ask for your support on the following bills that impact our environment, public health, and economy in our community for future generations, and are important to me. I ask you to:

Say YES to HB 5004 to establish a comprehensive approach to addressing climate change, including implementing nature-based climate solutions. (Section 21).

Say YES to SB 11 to enhance climate preparedness and response, including prioritizing nature-based solutions and environmental justice (Section 10) and enhancing equitable access to the Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition and Urban Green and Community Garden programs (Sections 27-31).

Say YES to SB 351 to increase funding for the Community Investment Act to support state programs for open space, farmland/dairy, historic properties, and affordable housing.

Say YES to HB 5048 (Governor’s Midterm Budget) to fund climate preparedness and response, land conservation, urban green and community gardens, and trails.
